Museum of Transportation Trip.
In celebration of the Last Weekend Before School, we took the kids to the Museum of Transportation last Sunday.
I figured we'd show up at 11 when they opened, hang around for an hour or so, then head out. After all, it'd be close to Ethan's naptime and I didn't figure there was really going to be all that much to occupy us.
Boy.
Was I ever wrong.
We stayed 3 hours and still did not see everything...finally giving it up when Ethan just got too crabby for anyone to enjoy the museum any longer. What I liked was that several of the old locomotives and other craft are open for the kids (and grownups, yes) to climb on, in, over, and through. We joined up with a tour but had to abandon it because Ethan was starting to fuss.
Photos:
Ethan was fascinated by many of the machines, but what he wanted the very very most was to ride the miniature train, which we saved for last. As soon as we hopped aboard that train, he perked up and was SO GOOD.
But on the way home he started to fade...
And then, just like that, he was out.
