The Art Museum.

Last Friday, Laurel was off school.

Remember this post?  That's what happened the LAST time Laurel had a Friday off school.

This time, however, there were no floods, so after her big haircut we trotted off to the St. Louis Art Museum. It was about all I could do to keep her moving through the galleries, fascinated as she was by the exhibits. It's funny -- she won't tell us diddly-squat about what she's learning in school until we get somewhere like the Art Museum, and then she's all, "Oh!  The Ptolemaic Period! That is so cool!  You know, Cleopatra began her reign in 51 BC and died in 30 BC." and "Oooooh, the Tang Dynasty!  I know about that!" and "Oh, Mommy, look!  Matisse!" and "You know, those two-handed swords are nice and all, but I like the stiletto best."

Sheesh.

We didn't see everything in the 3.5 hours we were there. I promised Laurel we would return, maybe with Greg in tow because I think he'd enjoy a lot of it, too. I didn't get many photos because flash photography is not allowed and that kills my skills, but here are a few:
