This Past Weekend Goes Down In History...

...as one of the best of all time.

We packed up the family and headed to Eckerts again, this time for apples.

Then we went further east for a cookout.  A real cookout.  None of this sissy fancy-pants barbecue grill crap for my family, no siree!  This involved a pit, a lot of wood, a lot of fire, and meat.  And lots of other food, too.

And a keg.

Here are the photos, more or less in the order in which the events occurred:

By the time the meat came out of the pit the next day and it was time to eat, I was ready to set the camera down.

However, before the meat came out of the ground, we went flying in my uncle's plane, and it was sweet.  Neither of the kids had been up in a small plane like this:

What a fantastic time.  It was really great to see our family and some of the folks I've met before but hadn't seen in awhile.  You have to understand -- people in my family are generally so friendly and know so many other friendly people, that it was a great pleasure to visit.  We hope to do it again very soon.
