Me [pointing]:  "Just over there beyond those trees, is a house where your Grandma R. used to live.  Your grandfather built it."

Laurel:  "I expect it's torn down now."

Me:  "No, no, it's very much still standing."

Laurel:  "Cool.  Is it a log cabin?"

hehe -- sorry, Mom.

To the other readers:  That house is about 35 (?) years old and is brick (Mom would know the precise age).  Ancient by Laurel's standards, I know, but certainly not a log cabin.
