Laurel-isms, Part XXIV.
We haven't had one of these in quite some time.
Yesterday I had a conversation with Laurel that went something like this:
Me: So, did you talk to Mrs. B. about your use of the word 'consonance?'
Laurel: Yes, I did. I told her I respectfully disagree with her note, and you know what? She was really happy. She said I was really polite and even told Mrs. S.
Me: Really? What did she tell Mrs. S?
Laurel: Well, she basically just said that I was polite. Only she was more effusive than I just was when I told you.
Me: (shocked) More...effusive?
Laurel: Yes. Did I use that correctly?
Me: Well, yes. Yes, you did.
