As the parent of many a 2-year-old knows, the title of this post is true.
Today, returning from the grocery store, my conversation with Ethan went like this:
Ethan: Can we go to the library?
Me: No. Not today.
Ethan: Can we go to the library?
Me: I said no.
Ethan: Are you arguing with me?
Me: What?! (this was a new one on me)
Ethan: Are you arguing with me?
Me: Oh. No, I'm not. I'm just telling you we are not going to the library today because you don't know how to act.
Ethan: I'M TRYING TO DO MY TEST!
