And Then the Sun Shone.

I've had the blues this week.

I'm not sure why and it doesn't matter.  I've been super-irritable with Greg and the kids and then felt guilty for it -- as well I should.  I've been in a rut and it was time to suck it up and kick myself out of it.

This morning Wii Fit became available at our local retailer. I've been waiting for this game for the longest and I thought maybe that would help, so tossing my financial frugality out the window, I cheerfully went to plunk down $90 for it.

The fellow behind the counter remarked to his coworker, "What is the deal with this?  95% of the people who buy this thing don't even need it."

I laughed and his coworker said, "You sure are turning red."

Well, yes, I was.  I was blushing because it was a flattering comment and he didn't know how much I needed one of those at that moment.  I said, "Well, I wouldn't say I don't need it.  Maybe I'm in the other 5%!"

He said, "Yeah, right, you must be what, a buck-fifteen?"

Incredulous, I just laughed right out loud.  "Oh, not hardly," I said.  "That's quite flattering, you have no idea how flattering that really is, but no, I'm not a buck-fifteen."

His coworker (a woman!) said, "What, then, a buck-seventeen?"

They have no idea how much they made my day.  Also, neither should pursue careers as carnival weight-guessers.

How about a buck-seventeen-and-a-half?
