Disgraceful.

Could the St. Louis Post-Dispatch online story editors be any worse?

From a story today:

"Those worried about how the concert will effect the field can rest assured. A plastic field covering with preforations, totaling 100,000 sq. ft., will allow for air and rain to penetrate and will protect the field."

Hey, dummies, it's "affect" and "perforations."  I often overlook your oft-sprinkled errors in grammar and spelling because I'm no grammarian.  It seems, however, even you will understand back-to-back sentences with those elementary blunders are inexcusable.

If you need an extra hand, give me a call.

Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I have some additional changes, too! The sentence immediately following is all whacked. You should apply as a copy editor, Michelle!

You're absolutely right, Jess. Heck, my mind was so blown after the first two sentences I couldn't make it to the third.

Fer cryin' out loud.
