For Sale: Artwork.

Laurel is participating in another fundraiser for her school.

I typically hate fundraisers and have chosen in the past to just send a damned check instead of having half my money go to some company instead of the school.  The exceptions in the past have been magazine subscriptions and a couple of others.  I still may just send a check, but this one was actually sort of interesting, though still overpriced.

The kids made art for stamps.  The stamps are priced somewhere in the stratosphere (10 for $15, 20 for $25), but they are official U.S. postage.  You can also buy note cards (10 for $15, 20 for $25), a note cube (950 sheets for $15, refill pack $5), postcards (10 for $10), and commemorative prints, which really have no place here.

This is Laurel's art.  It's mixed media (watercolor, colored pencil, and marker) on paper.  Anyone want to buy anything?  Orders are due next Friday.  ;)

Thank you.

Has Laurel been listening to Jimmy Buffett much?

"I don't know, I don't know... I don't know where I'm-a-gonna go when the volcano blows!"

I love the print! Tell me about the "commemorative prints." And are you guys doing anything fun with the kids tomorrow that we can tag along with?

Mom and Julie: Thanks! Laurel will be thrilled.

Jess: The commemorative prints are sold in packs: 1 8x10 and 4 5x7 prints for $15 (we could work something out if you really wanted one) but they have the kiddo's name, age, and it looks like the company logo on the bottom, which is why I'm not a fan.

We are in the middle of our Tourist in Our Town Anniversary Blowout, and we won't be free until late afternoon or evening tomorrow, but if you'd like to do something then, we're game. Let me know!

I would also like a note cube with a refill.
